Substitute Teacher Job Description

 

Job Definition:A Substitute Teacher teaches and supervises students in the event that their regular teacher is unable to lead class. Their duties include managing classroom behavior, quickly interpreting lesson plans and creating reports to inform the students’ permanent teacher of their success.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of Associate’s degree from regionally accredited college/university

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, etc. Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally; and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
